Lindsay Hunt

Lindsay holds a B.A. in Human Rights from the University of Winnipeg. Her journey into human rights education was shaped by her experience growing up in the public school system, where human rights issues were rarely addressed. It was not until university that she was introduced to diverse perspectives on justice, equity, and rights—an eye-opening experience that sparked a deep passion for making human rights education accessible to everyone. After several years working in customer service, support roles, and case management, Lindsay transitioned into human rights education, where she now focuses on creating inclusive, engaging learning opportunities. Her research centres on decolonization and Canadian policy, focusing on Indigenous peoples’ experiences with federal institutions and the urgent need for culturally appropriate, community-led approaches. Through her educational work and research, Lindsay is committed to advancing equity, truth, and systemic change.
